Community Partners

Community Partnerships

Minneapolis is full of great organizations that work for the betterment of our community and we love building those connections. Our partners increase Community Education’s ability to bring exceptional programming to our participants and strengthen the overall community.

Each year, we partner with over 80 local businesses and nonprofits to provide high quality experiences and leverage our resources to provide more for the community of Minneapolis. If you would like to join us in building community then contact lifelong.learning@mpls.k12.mn.us.

21st Century Community Learning Centers

Federal 21st Century Community Learning Center grants, administered by Community Education and partner organizations, support out of school time programming in 18 of our public school locations. 21st Century locations provide free high-quality academic and enrichment opportunities for schools with higher-needs populations. Students eligible for education benefits (free/reduced lunch) and students with limited English proficiency made significant gains on standardized tests after participating in 21st Century programming. Through community building, career awareness and social emotional learning, 21st Century programming provides positive academic outcomes and strong citizens in our community.
